On the 4th day of our vacation, we paddled the Yellowstone River in Montana. At one point, we had a problem with water coming into the boat. We pulled over along the river rocks, unloaded and fixed the scupper.

Mount St. Helens – 40 Years Later
Hiking up the ridge about two miles from the visitors center parking lot, I heard my first coyote howl. It was like he gave everybody else permission to start singing. I have no idea how many coyotes there were that night and I never saw a single one.

My birthday wish was to be right here at this moment with my sweet husband watching the sun set over the mountains and drinking hot chocolate. I like cake, but this was going to be a non-traditional birthday to remember.

Living In The Moment – Grand Tetons National Park – String Lake
String Lake is a beautiful little stretch of water located between Jenny Lake and Leigh Lake. All three lakes are connected and then flow into Jackson Lake where we had planned to spend sunset.
