If you’ve been following me, you know Heaven. She is our Bichon Frise that will be turning 14 years old in February. She is my best friend, well besides Frank! She got me through the toughest thing I’ve ever been through and that was the death of my granddaughter, Aniya. I know Heaven’s time is getting shorter too. She was wrapped up in her blanket waiting for me to get comfy so she could cuddle at my feet. She is a spoiled little girl and I’m okay with that!

Heaven was like…really? “Are you going to get me some chicken, or what?”
Squares just wouldn’t be complete without at least one post featuring Heaven. She is a little scraggly but it is getting harder to give her a haircut. She is very nervous when getting a bath or a trim these days.

She is so awesome! She has some issues so I know it’s just a matter of time. Hopefully, we have another year or two with her. π She loves everybody and Halloween is her favorite time of year because she sits out there with me for the trick or treaters. Last year, of course, we didn’t do it. First time we have missed it in 9 years. π

Oh we love our pets! They are worth all the efforts needed to take care of them. I have lost 3 cats over the past 12 years. Two were sister cats that stayed by my side for 19 years! My kitty Precious (yes, that is the name given to her before we got her) lost her buddy Shadow a couple of years ago. Precious is about 13, sure hope I have her for a few more years.
Love up Heaven all you can! πΆβ€β€

Oh my! I’m sorry for all your losses! I hope to have Heaven for another year or two but she has some real issues. All we can do is love on her while she is still here. I think she is starting to lose her sight a bit. She was already a clumsy dog and now she has trouble jumping up on a chair or the couch. Misses a lot. Then she gets mad when we go to pick her up and help. π

I put a little stool at the end of my bed for my old cats so they could get up on the bed when they wanted to (which was always). Sometimes Precious has to try a couple of times, but she can still jump pretty high (and the bed is no problem). But not like she used to. Bless their sweet little hearts!

Yes that sounds familiar. Heaven has never been allowed on the bed and has only slept with us on the couch when we dozed off late at night. π

Well…. the previous owner of my kitty let their daughter allow her under the blankets in bed. I just couldn’t fight it. So in the winter time she often snuggles next to me under the covers. Oh the cat hair we have in our house! We just gottta love ’em π

No at that point there is no fighting it. I’m allergic to cats so I could never have one in my house. I can pet them and be around them for short periods but couldn’t live with them. I’m allergic to dogs too. When we had our big dog, Hanna, I had to take allergy shots. Heaven is hypoallergenic so I have no issues and no longer have to take shots. π

Awe! She is special. One of 3 dogs in my lifetime that have been very special. The last one lived to be 18 1/2 years. π

I look at this way….if you don’t want to bring a dog in like a family member, why have one? They deserve the best we can give them and they give unconditional love in return…except the condition is that we feed them, love them and take care of them. π

Me too! My last dog lived to be 18 1/2 so I’ve been fortunate to have longevity in my pups! π

Aww, such a sweet face! She reminds me of our Diva Dog.

I think you have mentioned that before. Heaven is somewhat of a diva herself. She doesn’t like to walk in the dirt and prefers the sidewalk or pavement. Will go into the grass when she has to do her business. She loves sitting outside though. π
