Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge
Engine 1504 is sitting in it’s final resting spot behind the original Jacksonville Union Terminal which is now the Prime Osborne Convention Center in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. For anyone who wants to admire its beauty and take photos, the lot is open most days. The restoration which is near to “as-built” condition as when it went into service just after World War I is remarkable. A great article of the history of this train can be found here with some pre-restoration photos.
I originally featured this train on Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge – Trains and Tracks which I was a featured blogger for that post. Thank you again, Cee for featuring my Train blog! In case you missed it, click here for the original post.

Candy-striped heirloom lily. Original post was written for Becky’s July Squares & Cee’s FOTD & is here if you want to see it in color.

Black-crowned Night Heron taken at Lettuce Lake Park in Tampa, Florida.

Shells on the Beach at Little Talbot Island State Park, Jacksonville, Florida. Shells are smaller than they appear.

Patterns in the sand at Little Talbot Island State Park, Jacksonville, Florida. This looked like a bird in flight to me. I had to get down really close to get this.
