So, I’m going to start a new weekly Bird Photo Challenge. I’m still working on the details. Anyone interested in participating?
Birds give us so much joy. To watch the behavior of individual species provides hope in my heart and gives me peace. I’d love to see the birds that have given you joy either in your archives or hopefully you are able to get out again and enjoy nature right now.
Keep an eye out for my post on Friday, June 12th.

I’m interested and looking forward to finding out what the criteria for playing along are.
I love that A.A. Milne quote!

I’m interested in the criteria too. LOL! I’m working on it. Will probably take some pointers from Cee! I loved the quote too. I had to go through hundreds of quotes to find the right one. π

Our current favorite bird is ‘Mr. Crackers’ , a male guinea that showed up one day at our home and adopted us. π He received the name after eating his weight in crackers. He has a bad leg but makes it just fine. He is as good as any guard dog. He has a total come apart when something strange is at our home and is very protective of us. My daughter has tamed him to the point she can pick him up anytime. If we try to leave he gets mad and ‘attacks’ us (tries to keep us from leaving). All in all he is one cool bird! Look forward to Friday’s post!

That is a pretty cool story about your daughter’s relationship with it. We had one show up in our neighborhood about 4-5 years ago. It was so loud. Flew up on our roof and screamed like a rooster. It was here about 2-3 months and we got new neighbors from Nigeria and we never saw the guinea again. We are sure it became dinner one night.

Sounds like fun and an incentive to work on my bird photography which I am not very good at. π
