My sister-in-law has a wonderful green thumb and her garden always looks so inviting. We stopped by her house yesterday to deliver some groceries and pick up some blackberries she had picked and saved for us. We are still being diligent about social distancing and protecting ourselves and the ones we love. We went into her house and all three of us had our face masks on and no hugs yet. That is the part that sucks the most!
Caladiums were everywhere with some Pentas, Violas and Dianthus mixed in. The Amaryllis had just finished blooming so we missed those, but you can still see the stalks behind the Caladiums in the photo on the left. The Caladiums stole the show and brought a smile to our faces as we mosied up the walkway. I love my in-laws so much and it was certainly great to see Kay. First time I had seen her since this pandemic lockdown began months ago.

Hope Kay’s Garden brings a smile to your face today!

These are so good and the seeds are very small. I’m making a cobbler tomorrow. π

I planted some all around the big oak tree in my front yard one year. They did not come back the next year! π’ At least I enjoyed for a little while.

Same here. I’ve planted them before and they didn’t come back. I can admire her green thumb vicariously. π

AWESOME post ! I agree that the social distancing and face masks are an aggravation but until we as the human race solve this, we owe it to ourselves to be responsible!
Where I live at people are being shunned and made fun of for wearing masks and in Kentucky one store posted if you want to wear a mask take your business elsewhere!?
What have we come to as society when people can curse, act like morons and run around public in their pajamas but I get shunned for a face mask?!
Really people wake up! If I want to wear a face mask it’s MY BUSINESS!
Great post. Sorry to rant but we are missing our loved ones, too.
I don’t claim to have all the answers but am just trying to do my part in my little corner of the world. Peace be in all of your lives!!!

You are doing great if you care enough to wear a mask. I have a vinyl decal for sale on my Etsy shop that endorses wearing a face mask. My hubby put it on his car window. π
