SQUARE TOPS – Cherry on Top

Not my normal post, but I wanted to share one of our favorite desserts…Turtle Sundae. The combination of vanilla custard, roasted pecans, hot fudge, hot caramel, whipped cream with three cherries on top is the perfect snack for me and Frank. YUMMO!

This photo was taken at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. It is part of our archives from a few months ago prior to the lockdown. The owner & staff would graciously make the sundae for us in our glass bowl and we used our own silver spoons to eat it up. We did this to help eliminate waste of the containers and the spoons that get thrown away. Once we finished, we topped the bowl with the lid and all the dirty dishes get placed in a cooler that has a cold pack. We wash everything when we get home.
